Celebrity is largely based on occupation. Singers, athletes, actors, journalists, and the like get on their digital soapboxes and tell us how to think, act, and feel. They promulgate their moral code, which changes like the season. They prescribe the perfect politics and ideology for you, while largely ignoring it for themselves.

To base your life and morality based solely on the opinions of people in these professions is as inane as doing so based on the social media accounts of your plumber, chimney sweep, and UPS driver.
