They argue that dealers also provide important services, such as repair and warranty work, and arrange financing for buyers at competitive rates.
Fair point, but most dealers are complete jerks. So in an ideal world, that would be true. But in reality, it’s not achieving those objectives. Look at all of the stories of cars going for tens of thousands of dollars over MSRP and manufacturers slapping them on the wrist.
