My reading velocity has been very slow this year. I’m hoping to turn that around as fall rolls in. Kicking it off with the latest Brad Thor book is the right way to build momentum fast.

_Choke Point_ is the 25th book in the Scot Harvath series. It follows the same signature Thor storytelling, with ripped from the headlines geopolitical storylines woven throughout.

I much prefer the focus on a broader collection of foreign advisories in the later books of the series than the earlier focus on terrorism.

The book was fine, the story was decent, and it was good entertainment. That said, it fits the mold of the Scot Harvath series and did not really deviate in any way. In other words, it was the same storyline as the others with the names, locations, and characters changed.
